When can I start?
You can begin immediately, without any wait! Simply book your free trial session now or contact us by email or phone (see buttons below), or use the CHAT function at the bottom of the website.
From what age is training offered?
The minimum age for training is 16 years. There is no upper limit—only you decide if you’re too old for martial arts. Just give it a try! Nothing comes from nothing.
Do I need any prior experience as a beginner?
You should have a basic level of fitness. This means being able to do a few push-ups and squats—sport shouldn’t be a foreign concept to you. Just come to your first session, and everything will develop from there. We’ll take care of you completely, ensuring you have fun and learn something new.
If you already have some martial arts experience or a fundamental fitness level, that’s definitely a plus.
Otherwise, we’ll teach you the basics and work on building your overall fitness over time. Of course, self-motivation is key—that’s something we can’t do for you.
Can I join right in or just observe first?
We don’t offer observation-only sessions, but you’re welcome to join in directly with a free trial session!
Don’t worry about being overwhelmed. The best approach is to participate in some exercises and get a direct experience of training through interaction with the trainer and team. This will help you decide if our training is right for you.
What should I bring to the first trial session?
Wear comfortable sports clothing (shorts or long pants and a T-shirt) and bring a spare T-shirt.
Please also bring a large towel, at least one water bottle (no glass bottles, please, to avoid breakage), and indoor gym shoes (ideally with light-colored soles and rounded edges).
That should be enough for your trial session.
I wear glasses. Is that a problem for training?
No, wearing glasses is not a problem. Several of our members wear glasses. Just make sure your glasses fit securely and won’t easily slip off.
Am I the only woman in training?
No, we do have female members, although they are fewer than male members. This shouldn’t discourage you—in fact, it’s all the more reason for women to acquire basic self-defense skills. Keep in mind, however, that we are training in self-defense, which involves a certain level of intensity and toughness that you’ll need to get accustomed to. This is unavoidable but essential.
Since physical assaults on women are often committed by men, it’s especially beneficial for women to train with male partners. We handle all participants—men and women alike—carefully and adapt training to individual needs and comfort levels.
If you’d like, feel free to bring a friend along for the trial session.
Are there specific hygiene requirements?
You should bring freshly washed sports clothes to each session and, if necessary, apply deodorant beforehand. Please also wash your hands thoroughly before training.
What about jewelry, rings, piercings, etc.?
For safety reasons, no jewelry (earrings, rings, necklaces, etc.) should be worn during training. If you have permanent jewelry, such as piercings, make sure they are secured (for instance, with tape) to prevent any risk of injury to yourself or your training partner.
